We're trying to catch up and to find days that both we and Per can work in the studio. That's not an easy task, and actually we haven't managed. So today Malin and Anna will work with Per, and Caisa will come later.
On Saturday both Lisa and Malin is away so Anna and Caisa will sing some harmonies and stuff. We feel we need to finish the album now and therefore we need to work every moment that Per is available.
Which means good coffee, creative work and probably some table soccer today. Probably we will end the day in Pildammsparken enjoyig "Världens snabbaste allsång" with a bottle of wine.

Bad updating

Really, really sorry. We've bin so bad at updating the blog lately.
Luckily many of you knew how to seek information elsewhere and found your way to Sölvesborg and Killebomfestivalen yesterday anyway.
It was a great gig in sunshine, and with a great crowd there to see us. A good and inspiring break from the studio, and actually our first official gig in quite awhile, which made it even more uplifting.

Today was our last day in Tambourine studio for now. We didn't reach quite as far as we had hoped, but we will book a few more days and then hopefully be done.
What we have done is all the lead vocals plus backing vocals on some of the songs. Per has some editing to do with the leads before we can sing harmonies to it, so it's probably good that we take a few days off so that he can catch up.

So now things are calm for a little while. Next gig is in Kalmar on July 20th.

Vocals

On our way now to Tambourine to spend two weeks recording vocals.
Two weeks of turning yourself inside out, pouring your heart out on the floor, overcoming fears and pushing limits. No pressure, but it's really all about vocals. A record is never better than the vocals.
The music that we did in London has been mixed roughly and sent to Per so that we can sing to those backgrounds. It'll be really interesting to hear what Per has to say about the songs and the productions. Hopefully he will add an extra thing to each song.

We'll try to keep you updated between takes.

Amid all the familiar creative journeys made back and forth between Europe and the United States, a brand new route opened up for business in 2006. Its the one between Malmö and Nashville, with a little diversion to Dublin, and the group making the connection is Calaisa. The four girls in Calaisa demonstrated that the pop sensibilities of Scandinavia ...
